Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Suntory PepsiCo Beverage Thailand, or SPBT, was established in 2018 as a joint venture between two of the world’s leading food and beverage companies, Suntory and PepsiCo. The alliance is intended to combine the strengths of both global powerhouses, with the ultimate goal of achieving the No.1 leadership position in Thailand’s THB 146bn / USD 4.4bn liquid refreshment beverage industry.
SPBT already serves as the manufacturer and distributor of popular brands such as Pepsi-Cola, Mirinda, 7UP soft drinks, ready-to-drink Lipton teas, Gatorade sports drink, and Aquafina hydration drinks. In 2021, SPBT made their move into Thailand's premium ready-to-drink tea and coffee market; introducing a new line of products to address the needs of modern-working and the lifestyle of consumers by launching TEA+ and BOSS Coffee. SPBT continuously intends to create new growth opportunities by expanding its beverage portfolio to meet consumer demands with a variety of innovations.
SPBT has established the vision of “Growing for Good” to ensure it makes a positive contribution to the environment and the communities in which it operates. It promises especially to address water-related issues, since water is a precious resource underlying SPBT’s business and the lives of everyone in Thailand. Based on Suntory’s “Mizu To Ikiru” promise, SPBT is committed to activities that promote conservation of water, watershed preservation, and the provision of clean water for all and launch Mizuiku (Water Education) Program in 2019.
With this vision, SPBT strives to enrich our customers’ lives by developing innovative new products, sharing our values, bringing benefits to our employees and business partners, and supporting local communities and the environment. In all these efforts, SPBT is driven by "Yatte Minahare,"* the founding spirit of Suntory, which urges us to boldly take on new challenges and see them through to completion.

Suntory Beverage & Food Thailand can trace its roots back to 1835, when Henderson William Brand, chef to the British royal family, concocted a special chicken soup to nourish the health of King George IV. That soup became the famous Essence of Chicken health supplement, which remains our signature product today.
Essence of Chicken has been manufactured in Thailand since 1974, when the first factory opened in Nonthaburi Province. In 1990, BRAND’S became part of the Suntory Group, which invested heavily in manufacturing technology and brought its own 100-year history of innovating new beverage, food and health products, and bringing them successfully to market.
Thailand is now the regional production center for not only Essence of Chicken, but also other health products in the Suntory Beverage & Food portfolio, including Bird’s Nest and Veta/InnerShine. Currently 350 million bottles are produced annually for export to 19 countries. Our Bangkok headquarters and three modern factories in Chonburi Province employ a total of 1,500 people locally.
Our contribution does not stop there, however. In line with Suntory’s “Growing for Good” vision, we strive to make a positive impact on all the communities we serve. The foremost example of this is BRAND’S Summer Camp, an educational programme that, since its founding in 1990, has helped to prepare more than one million Thai students for the rigorous national university admissions test.
